Vinca Minor 'Ralph Shugert' is a mat forming variegated flowering ground cover that once established spreads quickly.

Brightens up shaded to partly shaded areas, the variegation of the Ralph Shugert Vinca is glossy dark green leaves with creamy white edging and bright violet blue flowers mid spring and then, again, in early autumn sporadically. A sport of Bowle's Vinca, 'Ralph Shugert' grows approximately 6 inches tall and spreads 30 to 36 inches wide. It can tolerate sun in northern climates if it receives adequate moisture.

As with other vinca varieties, use the 'Ralph Shugert' for erosion control, in woodland gardens, container gardening, as companion plants with Coral Bells, and variegated Solomon's Seal and Hellebores.

Like other vinca, this variety is an evergreen groundcover, but may have some brown leaves during winter and periodically throughout the year as it sheds old growth.

'Ralph Shugert' vinca minor ships in 3.5 inch pots.

Plants shipping to CA and AZ addresses may be bare rooted before being prepped for shipping.
