Buy Acorus Ogon Grass

Acorus Ogon Grass is a neat looking sweet flag ornamental grass whose bright gold foliage accented with green stripes shimmers in the afternoon sun. Although Acorus Gramineus Ogon Grass is not a fully evergreen grass, it will withstand all but the worst winter month. Many folks have asked about grasses or other perennial plants that will work in spaces that always stay are in damp soil.

This Ogon Grass is ideal in front of a damp sunny border or even in container gardens. It has been known to grow in up to five inches of water. The size of the Ogon Grass makes it especially suitable for miniature water features such as half barrels or large ceramic bowls filled with water.

Can also be grown as a water plant in your garden pond! It is a maintenance free grass that grows well in sun or shade. Slowly naturalizes by spreading roots, but is not invasive.

The Acorus Ogon grows to 15 inches in height with a 15 inch spread. This is the brightest plant in our woodland garden in winter.

Please Note: Beginning in September, many plants begin to go dormant.

Some plants may have already dropped their leaves, died back to the ground or are beginning to turn yellow when they arrive to you. Deciduous trees, shrubs, perennials and groundcovers do go dormant.

This is a normal stage for plants at this time of the year. Plant upon arrival as roots continue to grow while the ground is warm. Some plants require seasonal maintenance and may have been pruned.
