January is the month that we add our new plants to the website for spring planting. Many of our plants have been growing since last summer so they are fully rooted and ready for spring shipping.

Last week, we introduced you to our latest addition of phlox, but these are tall growing garden phlox which typically bloom much of the summer. We still offer a great selection of creeping phlox which are ground hugging, mostly evergreen plants that bloom during early spring.

This week we've added our newest flower seed mixes for Fragrance, Deer Resistant, Attract Hummingbirds. February and March are the best times for planting seed blends. They are mixes of annual and perennial flowers designed to bloom throughout most of the growing season.

Each seed mix package is shipped with its own bag of filler for ease in planting the seeds. Covers 1000 sq. ft.

Shipping timeline for most plants: Zones 7 to 10 best plant in March, adding zone 6 in April, zone 5 by mid to late April. Zone 4 is best planted in May to June.
