Sedum plants and ground covers are succulent plants that grow wonderfully in dry landscapes such as rock gardens, xeriscapes, hillsides and any sunny area where the soil is loose and dry. Sedum plants grow quickly in loose, sandy soil. Creeping sedum ground covers spread out best over sunny areas with poor soil.
