The Cedar Green Giants in our own landscape have grown in areas of full sun to partial shade. Cedar Green Giants are the first choice for evergreen screens or specimen plants in home and commercial landscapes.
The Thuja Green Giant ‘standishii x plicatata’ is a rare hybrid between Western Red Cedar plicata and Thuja Standishii Cedar, which once established, has been known to grow as much as 3 to 5 feet per year. Elegant and uniform, Cedar Green Giant's conical habit needs no shearing or pruning, and is cloaked in dense, dark, evergreen foliage clear to the ground - a stunning choice for a private screen.
Cedar Green Giant is able to withstand drought well, exhibiting no significant pest or disease problems, and is highly deer and bagworm resistant!
Cedar Green Giant is the best alternative screening-evergreen to the disease prone Leyland Cypress in the south and to the Hemlocks that are dying throughout New England.
