For these states all plants will be taken out of containers, the soil shaken off of the roots, and then roots dipped in water retention gel, then wrapped with moist medium and packaged to insure fresh and live delivery. Lavender Hidcote Blue is great for a dwarf hedge, edging, or for massing. As a famous English Lavender, the Hidcote lavender lends its blooms which are distilled to provide one of the purest lavender scents.
Culture: Lavender plants grow best in rocky, dry, sunny places with an abundant amount of lime in the soil. It can be propagated by seed or cuttings. Scent is strongest in dry, sunny locations. Plant in well drained soil in full sun.
Harvesting lavender: To dry flowers, pick when showing color but before fully open; tie in bunches and hang in a cool, airy place.
