Since there are ornamental grasses, the best setting is going to be in a sunny to mostly sunny area with good drainage. These plants begin flowering in June and continue on to late summer or generally into September.

This perennial garden will attract native bees, butterflies and hummingbirds as well as other birds in your area.

The grass you see is the Karl Foerster Grass which has a straighter appearance. The white flowering perennial is echinacea or coneflower. Create this look with our Pow Wow White Echinacea. The fluffy lavender shaded blooms below to Russian Sage. Plant the Little Spire Russian Sage for shorter height or Blue Jean Baby Russian Sage for taller blooms.

Other companion plants you can add into this setting for even more color are Blackeyed Susans, Shasta Daisy Becky, and other colors of coneflowers such as yellow, pinks and mixed. Also, coreopsis is an excellent addition to this garden setting with its feathery foliage and Mexican Feather Grass with its flowing soft blades. It doesn't grow as tall as the Karl Foerster, but is a softening companion grass for it.
