The Skyrocket Juniper is a thin columnar Juniper tree that fits into difficult places such as narrow side yards between homes. Probably the most narrow columnar juniper available making it a good choice as trees for small backyards. Juniper Skyrocket is a great evergreen tree for a windbreak plant for both cold and hot climates. The short, compact, silvery blue foliage is evergreen with virtually no change from season to season. An excellent choice for narrow juniper hedges.
Juniper Skyrocket is a very striking, dramatic plant when used in clusters against a large fence or building in foundation plantings, in formal plantings or as hedge plants. It is similar to other Junipers in that it requires a full sun exposure and will tolerate dry and arid soils. Try planting in matched pairs or on four corners of a central courtyard.
Durable and versatile, best grouped to form a colorful screen or garden accent. Its natural habitat is dry and windy with full sun exposure. It looks best in an open site with no shade during the day. This allows the foliage to dry quickly in the morning and helps prevent foliage disease from thinning the canopy. A well-drained soil is essential for good growth. Wet soil rots the roots and causes plant decline.
