Ibolium Privet Bushes - Fast Growing Shrub
Ibolium Privet is an excellent choice as a Northern Privet hedge shrub, whether you're searching for shrubs to create a formal hedge or informal free formed hedge, screen or shrub border. A tall growing flowering shrub in the 8 to 12 foot height range, the Ligustrum × ibolium is also a rapid growing shrub. Though a tall grower, this fast growing privet shrub can be pruned and maintained at most any height. Shear or prune plants early and often to encourage dense growth.
This privet hybrid features white flowers in late spring that are fragrant and attract bees and butterflies. These flowers are followed by small bluish black berries. Ibolium Privet is drought tolerant once established. Matures 8 to 12 feet tall and 6 to 8 feet wide. This North Privet is cold hardy into zone 4.
For a fast growing hedge, plant Ibolium Privet. Space privet shrubs approximately 4 feet apart for a dense hedge or privacy screen.
Ibolium Privet ships as field grown bare root plants 1 to 2 foot tall.

Please Note: Beginning in September, many plants begin to go dormant.
Some plants may have already dropped their leaves, died back to the ground or are beginning to turn yellow when they arrive to you. Deciduous trees, shrubs, perennials and groundcovers do go dormant.
This is a normal stage for plants at this time of the year. Plant upon arrival as roots continue to grow while the ground is warm. Some plants require seasonal maintenance and may have been pruned.
