Description
The Jersey Blueberry matures in August with medium berries that area dark blue and sweet. The Jersey is one of the more popular blueberry bushes that is easy to grow. The beautiful orange to red fall foliage makes this plant perfect for any landscape setting.
Blueberry plants perfer acidic soil that is in the 4.5 to 5.5 pH level. This Northern Highbush Blueberry matures in the 6 to 8 foot height range with a 5 to 6 foot width. An excellent blueberry bush for home gardens.
Jersey Blueberry bushes are self pollinating. Prune in winter for shape and to remove dead or crossing branches. Use a timed release fertilize blend in spring after leaves emerge. Mulch around base.
