Deadheading is not necessary with the Purple Satin® Rose of Sharon, but can be pruned in spring for shaping if necessary.
Grows 8 to 12 feet tall in an upright habit with a spread of 6 to 7 feet wide.
This hibiscus is a long continuous bloomer from summer into early fall (until frost). Excellent for privacy hedge or as a single speciment or in groups of 3 for attention getting.
