Product Overview: Introducing the Flavorette Pear’d® Rose, a revolutionary way to enjoy roses like never before! This unique plant transforms your garden into an edible paradise, combining stunning beauty with delectable flavor. Bred for exceptional landscape performance and culinary delight, the Pear’d® rose features enchanting soft pink, bowl-shaped blooms that are not only a feast for the eyes but also for the palate. Each bloom boasts thick, velvety petals with a delightful pear flavor, perfect for enhancing both sweet and savory dishes. Imagine using these edible blooms to create vibrant salads, garnishes, or even desserts that will wow your guests!

Top Reasons to Grow Flavorette Pear’d® Rose:

  • Culinary Delight: Add a unique twist to your meals by incorporating the flavorful petals.

  • Outstanding Disease Resistance: Enjoy a healthy, resilient plant that thrives with minimal care.

  • Effortless Maintenance: No deadheading is needed, allowing you to focus on enjoying your garden.

  • Fragrant Blooms: Experience a delightful fragrance that attracts bees and butterflies, enhancing your garden's ecosystem.

  • Rebloomer: Enjoy continuous blooms throughout the summer season, providing ongoing beauty.

Plant Characteristics:

  • Type: Deciduous shrub

  • Height: 36 - 48 inches

  • Spread: 36 inches

  • Spacing: 36 inches

  • Flower Color: Soft pink

  • Foliage Color: Dark green

Care & Maintenance:

  • Light Requirements: For optimal growth, plant in full sun (6+ hours) or part sun (4-6 hours). This rose can tolerate some shade (up to 4 hours), but full sun will yield the best results.

  • Soil Preferences: This rose thrives in average soil with good drainage. It can adapt to both acidic and neutral soil conditions.

Pruning & Fertilizing: To maintain the health and vigor of your Pear’d® rose, prune back at least one-third of its total height each early spring as the new buds begin to emerge. Make your cuts just above a strong, healthy bud to encourage robust growth. Applying a granular rose fertilizer at this time can also boost its performance. While deadheading is optional, the plant will continue to bloom beautifully without it.

Versatile Uses: The Flavorette Pear’d® Rose is perfect for a variety of garden settings:

  • Borders: Frame your garden with these delightful blooms.

  • Containers: A stunning option for pots on patios or balconies.

  • Cut Flowers: Create eye-catching arrangements that also bring flavor to your dishes.

  • Mass Plantings: Make a bold statement by planting in groups for maximum visual impact.

Shipping Information

Orders containing only hard goods generally ship right away
as the inventory allows. Those items ship year-round and generally within one
week.

When ordering plants during fall or spring shipping, we will
set your order for the next available shipping week appropriate for your
location. April and May are our busiest months, and sometimes shipping delays
happen. Plants may be processed later than scheduled or the shipping department may get behind. This is not the norm, but it does sometimes happen. Please bear with us if this happens.

Our bare-root (field-grown) trees and shrubs typically arrive at the facility for shipping in November, December, and January (for fall shipping) and in February, March, April, and May (for spring shipping).

An example of month-by-month shipping would be as follows, as plants are available:

January - zones 9 - 10

February - zones 8 - 10

March - zones 7 - 10

April - zones 6 - 10

May - zones 5 - 9

June - zones 3 - 8

July - zones 3 - 7

August - zones 4 - 7

September - zones 5 - 8

October - zones 5 (some areas) - 9

November - zones 6 (some areas) - 10

December - zones 8 - 10
