Description

ArdensΒ Rose of Sharon Bushes -

The Ardens Rose of Sharon Bushes are valued for its large double, rose purple flowersΒ containing a maroon blotch that blooms mid to late summer when few other flowering shrubsΒ are in bloom.Β Hibiscus syriacus also known as swamp mallow, rose mallow,Β althea or Rose of Sharon.Β Β Ardens Hibiscus Shrubs grow in full sun or partial shade and in any soil. The growth rate of these pinkΒ rose of sharon bushes ranges from slow to moderate and transplanting is easy.

Peak blooming of the Hardy Hibiscus Ardens Flowering ShrubΒ takes place in August.

Prune rose of sharon in late winter or early spring. Frequent severe pruning gives fewer but larger flowers; no or little pruning gives many small flowers.

We offer six of the most poplar hardy hibiscusΒ varieties available.Β Plant 4 to 5 feet apart in a row to create a beautiful flowering living fence.Β

Shipping Information

Orders containing only hard goods generally ship right away
as the inventory allows. Those items ship year-round and generally within one
week.

When ordering plants during fall or spring shipping, we will
set your order for theΒ next available shipping week appropriate for your
location. April and May are our busiest months, and sometimes shipping delays
happen. Plants may be processed later than scheduled or the shipping department may get behind. This is not the norm, but it does sometimes happen. Please bear with us if this happens.

Our bare-root (field-grown) trees and shrubs typically arrive at the facility for shipping in November, December, and January (for fall shipping) and in February, March, April, and May (for spring shipping).

An example ofΒ month-by-month shippingΒ would be as follows, as plants are available:

January - zones 9 - 10Β

February - zones 8 - 10Β

March - zones 7 - 10

April - zones 6 - 10

May - zones 5 - 9

June - zones 3 - 8
