Buy Buttonbush Sugar Shack Cephalanthus

Finally, a compact size native shrub that grows in wet soil and still provides summer fragrance and fall color. The Sugar Shack Cephalanthus is a smaller, more compact buttonbush that not only fits in size, but this flowering shrub will delight your garden throughout the growing season. Buttonbush is typically a large growing shrub and doesn't do well in most garden settings, however, with this new native buttonbush, it can be planted as a foundation plantborder plant or even specimen to enjoy.

Lightly prune this Cephalanthus or buttonbush in early spring for a wonderment of blooms and fragrance. Buttonbush blooms remind me of "Horton Hears a Who!". The blooms are round sphere like shaped that are so unusual that they could be in a Dr. Seuss book!

The New Cephalanthus Sugar Shack Buttonbush matures in the 3 to 4 foot height range and 3 to 4 feet wide. Plant in part sun to full sun. This flowering shrub is excellent for bogsrain gardens or other areas with wet soil.
