Paradox Yellow Coneflower Plants

Native to the prairies of the Ozarks, the yellow coneflower is actually a purple with yellow flowers The Echinacea paradoxa yellow coneflower features dropping yellow petals and large brown center cones. The dark green leaves of this yellow echinacea allow the fragrant yellow blooms to appear even brighter.

Plant your yellow coneflowers in full sun in dry to well drained soil. Though it isn't necessary to deadhead, removing spent flowers will certainly tidy up the look for late summer.

Echinacea paradoxa is perfect for clay, dry and rocky soil types. It is drought tolerant and deer and rabbit tolerant. A great perennial plant addition to a butterfly garden or to attract bees. Grows in the 30 inch height range with a spread of approximately 15 inches.

Colorful companion plants for the yellow paradoxa echinacea are monarda, Russian sage, lavender and other brightly colored coneflowers such as the Hot Papaya Echinacea.

Yellow Echinacea ships in quart size containers. Orders shipping to AZ and CA will be bare rooted before being prepped for shipping.
