Tips For Winter Garden Care
Clean outdoor furniture & store or cover
Drain hoses - roll up & store
-Shut off water to outdoor spigots (if applicable) & wrap or cover
Cut back tender perennials to the ground or just above for marking
Remove dead/broken branches from trees & shrubs
Limit serious pruning to 'only as needed' to prevent insect damage or fungus
If pest problems in your yard - wrap the base of trunks of trees and shrubs with hardware cloth to prevent chewing
Take houseplants inside after checking them for aphids and other insects
Mow leaves to use as mulch around plants
