It's been a long dry spell here in Middle Tennessee. But...it has finally ended tonight with showers that passed through. We'll see tomorrow morning, but fingers crossed there was enough rainfall to moisten the ground so we can dig field grown plants. Bare root trees and shrubs are field grown plants that we dig, shake the dirt from the root systems and ship asap. Fall shipping begins!
Fall planted trees and shrubs, both bare root and container grown, can be safely planted during fall. The roots will continue to grow until the ground freezes (with consistent temperatures below 32 degrees). The additional growing time allows for plants to kick off with spring growth.
