Let's Get Back to Basics!

Let's Get Back to Basics!

As the Coronavirus continues to play an important part in our daily lives, we do as instructed with hope that it will be a shorter lived outbreak than what we've seen from other parts of the world.

If you are homebound, quarantined or in self-imposed isolation, it is good to step outside onto your balcony, patio, deck and even your yard for fresh air every day.

For homeowners with their own yards, it's time to reconsider how you use or will use your outdoor areas. From phone conversations with customers recently, we find many are looking to change up their outdoor spaces to include areas for growing food.

While blackberry, raspberry, blueberry, kiwi and muscadine plants are best planted in the ground, goji berry, strawberry and herb plants can be grown in containers if necessary. Remember, these plants need at least 6 hours of full sun each day throughout the growing season.

With so many requests for vegetable plants and seeds, we are looking into this. We'll keep you posted on that development.

Let's get back to basics!

Meaning, it's time to reconsider the things most dear to our hearts such as family, friends and home. Our yards and gardens are a large part of our home life. Let's look at how we can make them spaces for outdoor living, places of refuge, areas of relaxation, and, even for food. Over the next few months, we will be bringing you ideas on how to Get Back to Basics.

For now, we continue to ship plants to your door through Priority Mail (post office) and UPS.
