The Echinacea Tangerine Dream PPAF PVR is everything a great garden plant should be. Elegant 4" clear orange flowers with wide, overlapping petals. The Echinacea Tangerine Dream’s color holds better than any we have ever seen and has a lovely honey scent. This is in our landscape series due to its multiple, wide-branching strong stems. The Echinacea Tangerine Dream grows to 27 inches tall with a 30 inch spread. This Echinacea is super for the sunny landscape, in mass or in a mixed planting. You’ll want to plant about 12 to 18 inches apart for mass plantings. Great for cut flower arrangements. These are easy to grow plants which should be deadhead to prolong flowering. The flower color fades on older flowers. This native North American Echinacea has bold and bright flowers that first appear in June and keep on flowering until September. Easy to plant and easy to grow as they thrive in average soils, are drought tolerant, shrug off the cold and thrive in full sun to partial shade. The cone of the flower head turns black as the seeds mature adding further interest to the garden and food for the traveling goldfinches that may grace the garden or landscape with their presence.
