Sorry we cannot ship any container plants with soil into CA,AZ,OR, and WA. For these states all plants will be taken out of containers, the soil shaken off of the roots, and then roots dipped in water retention gel, then wrapped with moist medium and packaged to insure fresh and live delivery. Sorry for any inconveience.

 

Orders shipping to the following states: AZ, CA, CO, ID, MT, NV, OR, UT, WA, and WY are subject to a 20% handling charge due to additional plant preparation and shipping surcharges.

Crape Myrtle Red Rocket is one of the fastest growing Crape Myrtles, growing 5 foot or more per year depending on growing conditions. The most beautiful of all the true red flowering Crapes with an abundant display of almost iridescent red blossoms from early July to September.

At our prices you can afford to line your drive or your entire property. We suggest planting in odd numbers for groupings, like 3 or 5 plants per group. It is highly mildew resistant and its dark green foliage sets off the true red blooms.

It will reach a mature height at 20 to 30 foot with a 10 to 15 foot spread. So if planting your red rockets as a screen, you will want to plant them no closer than 5 foot apart in the row.
