Improved Muscadine Grape
Vitis rotundifolia 'Tara' - Tara is a Bronze Self-Fertile muscadine grape with a high sugar content (17%). A good size, very vigorous, high yields, dry scar and cold hardy. Ripens early-mid season. Round 1-inch fruits, ripening uniformly early to mid season, have thick skins and a very full-bodied, musky taste that has been appreciated in homemade wine for generations. It is disease resistant, and self-fertile (no cross pollination required).
Once you taste this delicious southern fruit it will cast a wonderful spell on you! There is no other fruit like the muscadine.
