The Ouachita (wash-uh-taw) Blackberry is our newest large, sweet thornless blackberry bred by the University of Arkansas. It has excellent flavor and is very prolific.  The Ouachita Blackberry has very upright and erect canes.

This year we have selected America's leading premier grower for berry plants to furnish our berry loving Greenwood Nursery customers. The fruit storage and handling potential of the Ouachita Blackberry is very good, near that of Navaho; hardiness similar to other Arkansas thornless berries.

Imagine having fresh berries to sprinkle on breakfast cereals, for desserts, homemade pies, or just picked fresh off the vine. Children absolutely go wild during picking, and since they are thorn less, there is no danger of little wounds to heal.

Ripens beginning approximately June 12 at Clarksville, Arkansas, and fruiting extends for about five weeks. Ripening season is between that of Arapaho and Navaho blackberries.

Excellent Quality and high yielding.
Bears in 2 years
Fruit Yield: 2 to 4 quarts per vine.

2 yr #1 plants Zones: 5-9, Purchase in quantities of 3, or 6 plants per order.
