Cedar Lane Red Crape Myrtle a true red bloomer with great dark green foliage. The interesting thing about the Cedar lane Crape Myrtle is that the new growth appears with a burgundy almost bronze color as it appears and fades into lustrous dark green foliage. The dark green foliage of the Cedar Lane Crape myrtle makes the dramatic backdrop for the vibrant red blooms from June through September.
Since the Cedar Lane Crape Myrtle only grows from 6 to 8 foot with a 6 to 10 foot spread, it makes the perfect shrub for a moderate location where the full size crapes are a bit too large. Purchase several to line a drive or plant 8 foot apart in a triangle for a stunning affect.
