The Hardy Hibiscus Ardens Shrub is valued for its large double, rose purple flowers containing a maroon blotch that blooms mid to late summer when few other flowering shrubs are in bloom. Hibiscus syriacus also known as althea or Rose of Sharon.  Ardens Hibiscus Shrub grows in sun or partial shade and in any soil. The growth rate of this hardy hibiscus ranges from slow to moderate and transplanting is easy.

Peak blooming of the Hardy Hibiscus Ardens Flowering Shrub takes place in August. Prune in late winter or early spring. Frequent severe pruning gives fewer but larger flowers; no or little pruning gives many small flowers. We offer six of the most poplar hardy hibiscus varieties available.  Plants shipped are blooming size.

Barberry Royal Burgundy
Without a doubt the Royal Burgundy Barberry is the best dwarf, red-leaved barberry we have encountered. You, too, will find this barberry flowering shrub plant superior to the Crimson Pygmy Barberry. Plant en masse or combine with evergreen shrubs.
Hibiscus Diana Shrub
Simply breathtaking is the best way to describe the Hardy Hibiscus Diana Shrub with its beautifully large single white flowers that bloom in mid to late summer when few other flowering shrubs are in bloom. Diana Hibiscus syriacus grows in sun to part
Weed Pro Weed Control Mats
Weed Pro Weed Mats are the answer. Weeds are everywhere: on lawns, in flower gardens, among the tomato plants, wherever you don't want them to be. Left uncontrolled, weeds can starve out young seedlings.
