Bolgatanga Baskets are very finely woven market baskets, handcrafted by artisans in the Northern Region of Ghana, West Africa. While farming supplies the majority of the income in the region, basket weaving provides supplemental income during the dry season. Many of the weavers are women and the extra income helps provide daily necessities for their families.
Each basket is unique, so colors and designs will vary.
The basket shown is medium and sizes will run approximately 14 X 9 X 9 inches.
