NEW! Barberry – Royal Burgundy, Berberis (Japanese Barberry) - thunbergii Royal Burgundy without a doubt this is the best dwarf red-leaved barberry we have encountered. It is much superior to Crimson Pygmy, which is the form usually planted. Velvety reddish purple foliage holds its color through summer, changing to blackish red in autumn before defoliating for winter. Especially handsome planted en masse combined with gold or blue evergreens. Royal Burgundy is an unusually thrifty grower and yet remains very compact, maturing at only 18" tall x 30" wide. It tolerates half shade; however the best summer color is achieved in full sun. Well-drained soil is a requirement; very drought tolerant once established. Great is planted in front of evergreen shrubs for contrasting colors. In spring and summer different white flowering spireas also set off a brilliant contrast of color and texture. Care Instructions Follow a regular watering schedule during the first growing season to establish a deep, extensive root system. Provide well drained soil, rich in organic matter. Feed with an acid fertilizer after bloom. Keep roots cool with a thick layer of mulch. Ships: in ONE-GALLON containers

Emerald Green Arborvitae, also known as "Smaragd". This is one of my favorite arborvitaes. It grows almost perfectly pyramidal with almost no pruning at all. It has a very bright green color and appears to have a tinge of gold to it if the sun hits

Spiraea - 'Magic Carpet' (PP# 9363) I fell in love and you will too, with this new Spiraea, Magic Carpet. When I first saw it at the nursery it was summer and the plant in full bloom, covered with clusters of deep pink flowers
