NEW! Mazus reptans 'Purple' (Purple Creeping Mazus) Talk about a ground cover with versatility, this is the one. Purple Mazus maintains a green carpet of bright green foliage throughout the growing season and into the winter while giving an abundant show of tiny purplish/blue flowers with white marking all during June and July.
This one is an easy to grow, ground cover that grows to a height of two inches and a spread of 6 inches to one foot. Great for smaller areas that just need that special flare or filler between stepping stones and small tucked in places. It gives an elegant finishing touch to many beautiful gardens.
Used effectively as a companion plant with hellebores, and a contrasting plant for texture when grown with hostas.
These are proven in the garden as tough, long-lasting plants requiring little maintenance. Garden Care: Full sun to light shade, in fertile, moist but well-drained soil. Side dress with compost or manure in fall. Fertilize in spring.
Sold in 1, or 3 plants per order. Order 3 plants and save money. Skip a step with Step Ups! Introducing, exclusively for Greenwood Nursery Club members and customers, our NEW STEP–UPS ™ Perennial Plant collection. What are Step-Ups ™? – Our perennials are cultivated and grown with an accelerated system. They are started in small containers, transplanted to quart containers, and then transplanted again to ONE GALLON SIZE CONTAINERS. This expands the root system, making our plants perform like a two year perennial the very first year. Step-ups ™ perform the first year you plant them. You’re a step ahead with Step Ups!
