Why purchase wildflower seed that I have to mix with filler? Most wildflower seeds are sold in bags or tubs that contain filler. If the seed is not used right away or is stored for too long, the filler takes the moisture out of the seed and the seed declines in viability. Use only the seed you need for the job and then as long as the bag is resealed and kept in a cool dark place, it can be stored for years without losing viability.
