NEW! Euonymus Manhattan More than just another broadleaf evergreen, this is one of the few Euonymus with colored fruit. A fast grower, it can reach to 6 to 8 foot tall and 5 foot wide. A perfect complement shrub for any of the berried plants such as: Brilliant Red Chokeberry, or the Proven Winners, Viburnum Brandywine and Viburnum Cardinal Candy.

It works very well with deciduous Spiraeas such as Magic Carpet or Lemon Princess and the carefree Knockout rose collection. It is seen in many landscapes as a sheared hedge or informal screen. This handsome shrub has a neat formal appearance. Dark green leaves back attractive pinkish fruit. Its greenish white flowers are followed by rounded pinkish fruits. It tolerates cold to nearly 0° F, poor soil conditions, high temperatures, and wind and salt spray.

You can also use this shrub in wild gardens and with natives that naturalize well and require little care. You will want to plant where you can appreciate the pinkish fruit and allow this Euonymus to grow without shearing to exhibit its natural form. Manhattan integrates well with other shrubs and perennials from the woodland under story.

It works beautiful as an individual specimen or as a grove, and is ideal for informal, natural-looking screen.

Care Instructions:

Follow a regular watering schedule during the first growing season to establish a deep, extensive root system. Feed with a general purpose fertilizer before new growth begins in spring.

The evergreen plants will arrive healthy and ready for planting. Should they die within the first year we will replace at one half the current member price plus shipping.

Once planted with moderate care, just watering every five days or so and not fertilizing for the first year, the plants generally do well. The evergreens are a low maintenance, easy to grow; almost no care needed plant to own.
