Russian Sage 'Little Spire', Perovskia atriplicifolia 'Little Spire', is a beautiful shrub-like perennial with unique grayish-green aromatic foliage. Planting Russian Sage softens corners and other harsh areas. A great subsitute for lavender with the small tubular lavender blue flowers that appear on the spires in late summer through fall on Russian sage.

The flowers on the Russian Sage 'Little Spire' make excellent cut or dried flower arrangements. This compact fragrant perennial is an improved dwarf plant selection that stays compact and does not flop over. It is an overall excellent perennial that is drought tolerant and virtually maintenance free. Russian Sage 'Little Spire' has fragrant flowers and foliage, and can be used for borders, container, or mass plantings.

Perovskia atriplicifolia 'Little Spire' PP#11,643

General Information:

Long spikes of silvery-blue flowers accent its complimentary silver-gray spicy foliage of the Russian Sage Plant. Flowers almost two months from the summer into the fall. Shrub size semi-woody plants for full sun. Russian Sage should not be cut back further than 12 inches after frost in the fall, leaving some stem buds for next year's growth. Drought tolerant. Deer resistant, good for hot dry spots, Avoid too moist (wet feet), also dries easily

Homeowner Growing & Maintenance Tips:

The ideal plant for hot, dry climates! Russian Sage is classified as a subshrub or woody perennial. It performs very well in full sun and any well-drained soil. Average to dry moisture levels are ideal, and few pests bother this plant. If pruning is necessary, do so in Spring when new growth appears. Prune back to just above the lowest bud.
