NEW! Achillea Moonshine Still one of the most popular garden plants today, A. 'Moonshine' is valuable in the landscape because it combines well with almost everything. It is a terrific foil for many other colors including purple, blue, and pink. Its flat-topped, canary yellow flower clusters and bright silver foliage light up the garden.

This is a clump-forming selection that blooms over a long period beginning in early summer. Plants will rebloom if they are cut back after the first round of flowering.

Homeowner Growing & Maintenance Tips:

Yarrow is one of the easiest perennials to grow and is a good choice for beginners. All it needs is full sun and well-drained soil. It thrives in average to poor soil and is drought tolerant once established. Plants grown in rich soil tend to be tall and floppy. After the flowers have faded, cut the plant back by half. This will likely stimulate a second flush of blooms in late summer. Do not let plants go to seed. Most varieties do not come true from seed. Divide every few years to keep plants to a manageable size.

Flowers: June thru September

Introducing, exclusively for Greenwood Nursery Club members and customers,
our NEW STEP–UPS ™ Perennial Plant collection.

What are Step-Ups ™? – Our perennials are cultivated and grown with an accelerated system. They are started in small containers, transplanted to quart containers, and then transplanted again to ONE GALLON SIZE CONTAINERS. This expands the root system, making our plants perform like a two year perennial the very first year. Step-ups ™ perform the first year you plant them.

you’re a step ahead with Step Ups!

Available early March 2008. Book Early while supplies last.

People who have purchased this product have also purchased these:
Fern Japanese Tassel - Polystichum polyblepharum Now here’s a cute new hardy fern offered for the first time at Greenwood. The Japanese Tassel Fern is sometimes called a holly fern because of its evergreen status, just like a holly.
Gaillardia Fanfare PP15892 Blanket Flower An amazingly flamboyant NEW variety with the usual petals replaced by rings of tubular red-and-yellow flowers surrounding a dark center. Fanfare is one of the best new flowering perennials seen in years.
Karley Rose - Pennisetum orientale - If you’re a plants person like I am, you will absolutely adore this warm season show-stopper. Dark green foliage topped with long-blooming (June till frost), rose lavender plumes are what drew my eyes to it.
