Hibiscus Blush Satin, is a very showy variety with large, soft pink flowers accented with a deep red eye. Hibiscus Blush Satin is strong growing and long blooming. Hibiscus Blush Satin is hybridized by Rien Verweij of the Netherlands. Introduced for the first time in the U.S. in the spring of 2000, it is a rare plant at retail, but well worth asking for in the years to come. Growing Tips: Blooms mid-summer. Grows in any soil unless it is either very dry or very wet. Prune in late fall or early spring. Can be heavily pruned. Prefers medium moisture. Deciduous shrub. Fertilizer in early spring by applying a slow release fertilizer specialized for trees and shrubs. Follow the label for recommended rate of application. A tremendous improvement in hardy Hibiscus. Strong growing plants with lots of large, brightly colored blooms, the SATIN® hibiscus are clearly superior to older, weaker varieties. Much more vigorous than older varieties.
