Magnolia Jane, is one of the 'Little Girl' Magnlia Series where the blooms come out before new spring foliage and keeps on blooming, intermittently, all summer long into early fall. Magnolia Jane blooms are tulip shaped with deep-purple on the outside, pure white within, so the fully blooming tree creates a two-tone show. Magnolia Jane's foliage is dark to medium green and grows to 15 foot tall and 10 foot wide.

It was developed by the U.S. National Arboretum in the 1950’s to combat the problem of late frosts killing the Magnolia blossoms. It has been around for 50 years but still very difficult to find. Very hardy, and grows in Zones 3 - 9.
