Rosa Rugosa White 'Alba' rose hedge plants is one of our original Living Fence Shrub Plants. The rosa rugosa white is from the 'Alba' flowering shrub variety. The Rugosa Rose Alba is grown from seed and does not always produce true white blooms, but varying shades of cream to white to a pinkish hue. Rosa Rugosas are right at home along the coastal areas and tolerant of sandy, salty soils. The Rosa Rugosa Alba flowering shrub rose is hard to find, but easy to grow. A hedge rose that displays extremely fragrant blossoms, which will grow in full sun, and in dappled shade though with limited blooming. Rosa rugsoa 'Alba' flowers June to August with the seeds, rose hips ripening August to October. Dark green healthy foliage that shows bright yellow/orange colors in fall. This beautiful Rose hedge will grow symmetrical to 6 feet tall and 6 foot around. It is disease resistant and winter hardy to Zone 2. Space plants approximately 3 to 4 feet apart in a row to create a fast growing dense hedge. In warmer climates, such as zone 8, this plant may keep its leaves through mild winters.
