Siberian Elm or Ulmus pumila is the fastest growing hedge tree available. Siberian Elm is hardy, and drought resistant once established. The Siberian Elm is also considered to be a great windbreak tree when planted in rows. It has moderate water requirements until established. It also displays a moderate tolerance of salt and alkali.
