Madame Galen Trumpet Creeper, Campsis radicans 'Madame Galen', is a self clinging vine. A deciduous fast growing trumpet vine, the Madame Galen Trumpet Creeper, is covered with red trumpet shaped flowers during summer. Plant this trumpet creeper vine in full sun to partillay shaded areas. Water regularly the first season planted to establish. Prune your trumpet creeper plants annually in late winter. Note: wear protective clothing when pruning as the sap is poisonous and can irritate skin. Thought trumpet creeper vinces show no serious disease problems, they are self seeding which produces suckers making them sometimes aggressive growing vines. Trumpet creeper vines are native to the Southeast United States.
