Pennisetum Hameln - At Greenwood, the ‘Hameln’ is our personal favorite. Its compact growth habit and finely textured foliage make this one of the most popular warm season Pennisetum cultivars. They are usually grown for their flower clusters (plumes) that appear in summer to fall (earlier then regular pennisetum) and can be used in flower arrangements both fresh and dried. Most species are very frost hardy. This plant is ideal for locations where larger grasses are not desired. We have over 20 planted in locations throughout our landscapes. Zones 6-9 Our Grasses are shipped in one gallon trade size containers, full root system, ready to plant, and start growing. Not to be confused with divisions, or field grown liners.

Sorry we cannot ship any container plants with soil into CA,AZ,OR, and WA. For these states all plants will be taken out of containers, the soil shaken off of the roots, and then roots dipped in water retention gel, then wrapped with moist medium and packaged to insure fresh and live delivery.
