Pennisetum alopecuroides 'Hameln' ships in 4 inch containers.
Sorry we cannot ship any container plants with soil into CA,AZ,OR, and WA. For these states all plants will be taken out of containers, the soil shaken off of the roots, and then roots dipped in water retention gel, then wrapped with moist medium and packaged to insure fresh and live delivery. Sorry for any inconvenience.
Pennisetum alopecuroides 'Hameln' - At Greenwood Nursery, the Pennisetum alopecuroides 'Hameln' is one of the most popular dwarf fountain grasses. The Hameln's compact growing habit and finely textured foliage make this one of the most popular warm season Pennisetum cultivars. Pennisetum alopecuroides 'Hameln' are grown for their flower clusters that appear in summer to fall, which is earlier then regular pennisetums, and can be used in flower arrangements both fresh and dried. Most species are very frost hardy.
The Hameln Pennisetum Grass is ideal for locations where larger grasses cannot grow. Zones 6-9
