Rosmarinus officinalis, Tuscan Blue Rosemary is an evergreen shrub in zones 8 to 10. Here in TN, we have to protect our Tuscan Blue Rosemary plants in winter or plant them in containers and take them inside. Though it sounds like lots of trouble, this blue rosemary plant is worth the effort. The Tuscan Blue Rosemary grows in the 3 to 6 foot height range and is perfect for the southern states as it is more tolerable to heat and humidity. This fragrant shrub is also at home in coastal areas, rock gardens, hillsides, and like other rosemary plants is deer resistant. Plant in full sun. Water regularly until fully established during its first year and then only occasionaly as needed. Lightly shear for shaping in early spring and apply a general timed release fertilizler at that time.
