Forever Pink Phlox - Fragrant Perennial Plants -
This low growing garden phlox plant starts the show in May (here in zone 7) into June with heavy blooming and then throughout the rest of summer into fall with intermittent blooming. The base of the Forever Pink Phlox remains evergreen over most winters. As this phlox plant doesn't produce seed, all of its energy is spent into flowering.
Plant this small growing perennial plant in containers near outdoor sitting areas to enjoy the amazingly fragrant pink flowers that will attract bees and butterflies.
The Forever Pink phlox remains compact and clumping growing into the 12 to 16 inch height range. Unlike taller growing garden phlox, this pink phlox does not need staking.
Forever Pink Phlox Care:
Remove the spent flowers after the initial blooming for best results in rest of season flowering. Cut plants to the evergreen base in early spring.
Developed by Dr. Jim Ault at the Chicago Botanic Garden from a cross made in 2007 between Phlox glaberrima ssp. triflora and Phlox 'Bill Baker'.
