Red Twig Dogwood bushes are called red twig because of its distinctive and attractive deep red branches, this beautiful upright shrub displays white blossoms in May giving way to bright red berries in the fall. The red twig dogwoodCornus stolinifera, is very handsome and eye appealing as winter interest in the landscape especially with a sprinkling of snow to set off the red stem color. Also known as Red Osier Dogwood.

A native shrub the red twig dogwood is an excellent plant for massing in large areas, and because of its interesting stem color and dense growth.

An excellent choice for a shrub border in residential landscapes; can be effective as hillside shrubs for it holds soil quite well. Red Twig Dogwoods have moderate water requirements and moderate tolerance to salt and alkali soils. Great for mass groupings.
